Trading of the electronic payment service stocks was opened with the $41.63 mark and almost $47 billion of the market capitalization. During the session, the value of capitalization was fixed at over $50 billion. Experts specify that after separating from eBay, PayPal became to be valued higher than its former parent company.

During the first three months of the current year, the earnings of the electronic payment system have exceeded the income of eBay for the first time in the history. Experts suggest that an increase in figures of PayPal will be 15-18 per cent in the near future, and that of its once parent company — only 3-5 per cent.

As experts explain, the situation that has happened with PayPal and eBay is a peculiar kind of new trend in the world of technology companies. For example, the Nokia, Motorola, HP brands either plan to split the business, or have already done it. Analysts consider that when dividing a business, it's better to immediately allocate a new one. However, the listed companies ignored this item.

Nevertheless, specialists believe that an independent entering an exchange of PayPal is a rather unusual and risky move, considering specificity of payment markets. Because the solutions for electronic payments are being advanced today, as a rule, either as startups or as a part of Internet giants, technology corporations or banks.
